Family Camp is an excellent and affordable way to have a holiday in the great outdoors. There are many benefits to attending family summer camp, most importantly the opportunity for the whole family to spend time with each other away from the distractions of the outside world with lots of activities to keep you as busy as you like all week, there is truly something for everyone. Best of all, everything is included. A week at camp is not complete without high quality and engaging programming! We at Family Camp are proud of the programming that we provide, where we offer a balance of optional activity choices to cater to a variety of interests and age groups. Here is an idea of some of the programs offered: Canoeing, Volleyball, Horseshoes, Talent Night, Arts & Crafts, Campfires, Performing Arts, Organized Sports, Swimming What is a family? Build your own family, there must be a least one adult per three children. This may be a grandparent, uncle or aunt. Parental Responsibility: The Family Camp program structure relies on a unique blend of staff supervision and parent/guardian responsibility. When a child is attending a camp program that does not require a parent/guardian to be present, the on-duty staff member is considered responsible for the camper. At all other times, parents or guardians are responsible for the safety of their children. For the safety of our campers, we ask that parents/ guardians bring young children to their programs and pick them up as soon as the program has ended. This allows the Family Camp staff member to focus on preparing for the next program. Programming is not available for children under the age of 3 unless accompanied by an adult; young children are welcome in all program areas as long as they are accompanied by an adult. Accommodations: During your stay at Sunny Cove, your family will share a rustic but comfortable cabin. You will share a cabin with another family. Each cabin has electricity, bunk beds and basic cleaning equipment. Cabins are not insulated and bedding is not supplied. There is centralized washroom with toilets, sinks, and showers. There is a 10:00 pm noise curfew in effect on the lake. Please consider your fellow campers as well as cottagers on the lake. |
