CAMP SPECIFICS - we will offer 2 types of camps

Fort Frances Skating and Skills Development

Skating, stickhandling, shooting camp
• High tempo skills improvement for skating, stickhandling, shooting
• Mini Games on Friday
• high tempo drills for skating (backwards, forwards, turning, starting, stopping)
• drills for different types of shooting (wrist shot, backhand, etc.)
• drills for improving passing and stickhandling
• mini games
• body checking contact confi dence drills (for Pee Wee level and higher)
• 36 skaters per camp at the novice and atom level, 30 skaters per camp in Pee Wee level.

Fort Frances High Performance Camp (designed for more advanced players)

High tempo 1:1 puck and skating skills and drills
• Contact confidence physical drills
• Read and react game situations
• Individual and team play tactics/principles
• Full ice games and corrections
• Goaltender Review and practice all technical aspects
• Defensemen Offensive / Defensive responsibilities in all 3 zones
• Forwards Offensive/Defensive responsibilities in all 3 zones
• above drills designed for more advanced players (AA or AAA level)
• team tactics and game situations (breakouts, forechecks, 2 on 1, 3 on 2, 3 on 1, etc.)
• specific coaches for each position (goalies, forwards, defence)
• maximum of 4 goalies, 12 defensemen, and 18 forwards per camp
All camps have a student to instructor ratio of 6:1

Prerequisites to enroll in the program
• You must have been registered within a hockey
program in the 2007 Season to participate.
• Also, you must be able to skate backwards.
• Payment is due upon registration
• Deadline is June 30, 2008
• A maximum of 24 skaters per group, the class must be full to run.
